God it’s such a crazy place. The day I work hard, my stories are dumped. The day I take it easy and give them some crap, they get excited and take it on one. Billy says never think about page one and just keep doing the good work. But boss obviously thinks the opposite. I am confused. Billy has been working here since quite some time now so he obviously knows better than me and he is a senior too. But his seniority has barely done him any good. Just his luck.
Big boss not around. The second in command is mostly confused like me. He has no clue if he should please the readers by putting stories in the paper or he should please his favourite reporters by putting their junk in the paper.
The paper is facing a staff crunch. Most of the staff has run away fearing the boss while the rest are on sick leaves- some kind of flu has engulfed the office. Thank god, for Billy and Villy’s good sense of humour- the paper is still alive. If not anyone else, at least i would have died of boredom.
